I heard a very moving talk given last night at Sidcup Rotary Club by Cathy Brokenshire about her much loved late husband James. Cathy explained what she has been doing with other brave people to raise awareness of lung cancer and secure a national lung cancer screening programme over the next five years. James was a fantastic constituency MP and a honorary member of Sidcup Rotary Club. James was much admired for what he achieved during his life. Cathy is continuing some of the great work that James undertook before his untimely death in memory of those who have got lung cancer and making sure that everyone is more aware of it and hopefully catch it early enough to increase the chances of being treated for it.
