I had the pleasure of meeting James once when he came to visit the Coca Cola factory in Sidcup. We had a short conversation on the importance of providing facilities for local people. It struck me how much he knew about his local constituency, how much he cared and also how much he was prepared to do. I was left feeling positive about meeting a politician with ability and integrity. I felt his constituents were in capable hands. He was humble yet had great presence. A very memorable experience for me and such a tragic loss for many.
