When he was Minister for Immigration James Brokenshire granted a special visa to my client’s husband so he could come to the UK to be with his wife who was dying of cancer and support their children through the loss of their mother. It was an act of great compassion and decency that meant so much to that family It is a cruel coincidence that my client also died of lung cancer, a non-smoker in her late 40s, leaving three childen behind.
